Dr. Neysan Chah is a graduate of the Dublin Dental University Hospital and graduated top of his class from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California, where he completed his Master’s in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine. He subsequently achieved Board Certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain and was awarded Fellowship of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain.
During his postgraduate training, Dr. Chah had the unique opportunity to learn directly from some of the world’s leading authorities in orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine, including Professor Glenn T. Clark and Dr. Dermot Canavan.
Having spent many years in general dental practice, Dr. Chah brings a comprehensive understanding of the broader dental context from which many of his patients are referred. His practice is focused on two principal areas: the diagnosis and management of orofacial pain, and the treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders through dental sleep medicine.
As an active member of both the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and the European Academy of Orofacial Pain & Dysfunction, Dr. Chah remains engaged with ongoing clinical and research developments in orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine. He is also a member of the Irish Pain Society, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the Irish Sleep Society and the European Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
His advanced postgraduate training and extensive clinical experience underpin his patient-centred, evidence-based approach to care and his commitment to strong collaborative relationships with referring dentists and other healthcare professionals. He is particularly passionate about helping general dental practitioners better understand and navigate the many, often challenging aspects of dental care for patients experiencing orofacial pain.

At NCOFP, we are dedicated to providing effective relief from orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine issues. Dr. Neysan Chah understands the significant impact these conditions can have on a patient’s physical, emotional, and overall well-being. With this understanding in mind, our primary goal is to alleviate pain, restore functionality, and enhance the quality of life through a patient-centric approach.
We achieve this by offering personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs, empowering you to regain control over your health and well-being.
Our care is built around two core areas of focus:
We assess and manage the full spectrum of jaw and facial pain conditions — from TMJ disorders and facial muscle pain to neuropathic pain, headache, and trigeminal neuralgia. We understand that the path to a clear diagnosis is not always a short one — and we are here to help navigate it.
We provide expert assessment and treatment for sleep-related breathing disorders — including snoring, obstructive sleep apnoea, and sleep bruxism — using bespoke oral appliance therapy and a collaborative approach with sleep medicine and respiratory consultants.
Our practice is founded on empathy, integrity, and excellence, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care. Dr. Chah aims to create a supportive and compassionate environment where patients feel valued, heard, and cared for — guided by a few core principles:
An in-depth assessment, thoughtful treatment planning, and time and space for you to ask questions are central to everything we do at NCOFP.
Patients deserve to understand their condition — what may be happening, why it may be happening, and what can be done about it. We believe in open, honest communication at every stage, explaining our findings and discussing the available options so you can make informed decisions about your care.
Orofacial pain can be complex and difficult to diagnose and manage. We understand the frustration that can come when answers remain unclear. Our focus is on careful assessment, understanding your symptoms and working with you towards appropriate management of orofacial pain and sleep-related breathing disorders.
