Why do we snore?

Snoring stems from throat tissues vibrating as we breathe. Several things can trigger this vibration, including:
Blocked Airways: Relaxed throat muscles or a narrow airway cause turbulence during breathing, leading to tissue vibration.
Physical Traits: Some people have throat features like a low, soft palate, larger tonsils, or a large tongue that make airflow more restricted, increasing snoring.
Sleeping Position: Snoozing on your back can make the tongue and soft palate fall back, blocking airflow and amplifying snoring.
Weight and Habits: Being overweight or habits like smoking and drinking can worsen snoring.

At NCOFP, we appreciate these factors and provide tailored solutions to help you achieve a better quality of sleep that is quieter and more restful.
